My Dreams & Los Angeles

Los Angeles-I love you and Lakewood.

You have been so generous to me to let me stay in your homes.

Los Angeles, your population is huge

And in the process you have made a change in the shaping of Earth.

I can’t believe how generous you are to me.

My life is great and I dream that you will stay

The same now and forever.

Now I’m at Lakewood.

I’ve seen so many malls out here,

It is very quiet.

My dream is for me to succeed in all my classes.

I can do anything to achieve my goals,

I know I can.

I believe my sister will do well in college,

Get her head in the game,

Stop blowing her gas money.

I hope all my friends get good grades in school.

I have a dream…

That all of us will be great people,

just like my mom who got me into a great school:

FREDERICK DOUGLASS!

I Dream A World

I Dream a World…

I dream a world free of violence

Where guns were never invented.

A world where everyone could come together

And hold hands.

Instead of gangs,

There could be one big community.

No one would have to feel uncomfortable

With the colors they have on.

This is my dream for the world!

The Perfect World

The perfect world

would look like one big happy family.

I say this because the world wouldn’t have

any gangbangers.

Then my family, friends, and I could walk the street

without being shot or killed.

I dream all people would be good!

If I could change anything I would change the world.

I would take all the gangbangers,

put them in jail,

and execute them.

If I did that there would be a happy, better world.

If I ran the world there would be no shooting

no killing

and ESPECIALLY no gangbangers.

It would be a peaceful world where kids could go to the store

without getting hurt.

If my dream came true, I would NEVER be scared again!

My Dreams

My dreams are to have peace.

No racism.

Honesty, truth, and love.

My dreams are for Los Angeles to shine

Like sun shining on the ocean.

Very bright.

My dreams are for my friends to have

a good life.

Finish school, go to college, and get a job.

Not to be easily influence by the pressure on this earth.

My dreams.

Dreams for the World and I

I wish that I was a doctor or a pediatrician

So I can take care of the kids

That are suffering in Africa

& find cures for all children.

I wish for my friends

That they would just do what they want to do,

Be free,

And NEVER worry about troubles.

And I wish for my family

To be free.

I wish that people in Los Angeles

Didnt have to worry about kids walking to the store or going anywhere and something happening to them

and that people would pray for peace.

That Latinos and Latinas wouldnt have to worry about their countries and immigration laws.

I wish

We all had no worries

and there would be peace and love!

PEACE

I dream for peace,

where everybody is treated

the same.

Where everybody is loved.

I dream of peace where no one is bad,

where there are no more wars.

I dream for peace where the color of your skin does not matter!

I dream for peace where people can just be.

I dream for a peace where the way you look does not matter.

I dream for peace, I dream for peace…

…where there is no racism.

Dreams…

My dream for myself

Is that I go to 7th grade.

My dream for Los Angeles

Is that there will no longer be homeless people.

My dream for the world is that

There are no more gangs.

My dream for my family is that they would have goals to achieve

For the rest of their lives.

My dream for Los Angeles

Is that no more drugs will be sold on the street.

Finally, my dream for the world

…is that there is no more racism between blacks & whites.

My Hopes & My Dreams

I hope tomorrow

Will be a better me

And a better place

I hope that there would be

Peace on earth

And everyone would have freedom

I hope that there would be no racism.

I dream that people would love each other

And wouldn’t do

Anything to harm anyone.

I dream that I and any other girls will not be harmed.

I dream that my family and I will follow

In Langston Hughes’ footsteps

In writing our thoughts and dreams for a new world

I hope and dream that my family and I

Will go to college

…and have a PERFECT life together!

Dreams!

My dream is for the world

To be free of any harm and misery,

With rainbows so high and sunny days,

And for peace and happiness to come

To pass our ways to clear the dreary rain away.

For the world to be not of guns, but of peace,

Of justice for everyone, for you and me.

For everyone to be free.

For all races to come and stand all together,

Side by side, hand in hand all together.

I would create National Appreciation Day,

A day where we all can appreciate each other as neighbors, friends, and family,

And show love, peace, citizenship, appreciation, and kindness

…and welcome each other with a warm heart

with hospitality for you and me.

That is my dream.

My Own Dreams

I dream to be the best saxophone player in the band

So I could be very good at it

So my Mom & Dad will be proud of me.

I will perform on stage so everybody could see me play my song

JAZZ

The whole crowd will go crazy with all the players including me,

For the performance.

I wish to be rich to raise money for all the people that I know

To split the money to give to those people

Who helped me, took care of me, explained things to me, and gave me whatever I need

My dream is to thank my mom, dad, grandfather, and my teacher Ms. Ball for helping me and making me so happy.

That is my dream.

I Dream for Los Angeles

I dream for Los Angeles

a clean city and

nice buildings.

I dream for Los Angeles

less shootings and peace

between blacks and latinos.

I dream Los Angeles

had better communities that

would take care of their land.

Before we can do all of

those things we have to

work together.

I dream Los Angeles

will become

 a better place.

Dreams

My dream is to be

The best I can be!

I wish that the world

Could be better

STOP THE WAR!

I want everybody

to get an education

and get off of

those streets.

Do something for yourself.

Think about yourself.

BE YOURSELF!

One day on a cloudy day I thought to myself

What would a perfect world look like?

In my head I said

How can I do that? I’m only 12 years old!

Then I realized

I am old enough to make

big decisions.

So I picked up my pencil

Took out some paper

Started to jolt things down.
I only came up with a paragraph.

I said to myself

I can’t do it.

My teacher overheard me,

So she came over and said you have detention.

I said why and she said because

I said I can’t.

When recess came I was done.

She read it out loud.

“I dream that the world would love one another.

They would help one another. People would have discipline.

I dream for girls to be safe at night.

I also dream for the men and young men (like myself)

To respect the ladies.

I also dream for the world to have world peace.”

Then my teacher said, “I thought

You couldn’t do it?”

And I said, “OH YES I CAN!”

The Perfect World

Some of the things that I dream for myself

That one day I will become a successful businessman

owning businesses and buildings,

known as an entrepreneur.

For my family I dream

nothing really for them because

I think our life is already perfect.

We are all very close and we all love each other.

For my friends I dream that they have a very good life and are close with their families and all love one another.

For LA I dream to stop

all of this gang affiliated violence,

for someone to teach them

some manners,

to stop assaulting the elderly.

For the world I dream that someone

would take George Bush out of the White House and replace him.

I dont care what he is either,

White, Black, or Mexican,

I just want someone who can lead and be fair.

I want to stop the racism because

there are still some people who dont think

blacks can do or accomplish anything

because we show that,

but I KNOW blacks can do something

with their lives

if they put their minds to it!

Dreams for Los Angeles

I dream of a world in Los Angeles

Where people will have the respect for others

That the others have for them.

I dream of a world in Los Angeles

That if it was perfect I’d let my grandfather go on

And get a better job

And get a better apartment complex.

I wish that gangbangers would stop shooting people

And stop doing drivebys

On people that are poor

And people having babies.

I wish that people would have peace

And happiness for people

That are having newborns and moving to a better place.

I dream of a world where all this will happen

And where people will get an education!

I dream.

DREAMS!

My dream is to not have gangs,

So there won’t be a big bang.

I want peace in the world.

I do not want any more wars.

I want people to be proud of who they are,

Then people can go far.

My dream is to find a cure for

cancer, diabetes, and AIDS,

so people won’t die.

When people are alive they can go places

That they’ve always wanted to go

People can do things that they’ve always wanted to do.

I want to see Japan, China, Canada, and the whole world!

These are my dreams!!!

My Dreams

My dream is that everyone gets good grades

And goes to college.

I dream that everyone would get a nice job

And live in a house

I dream of the world being clean, peaceful, and just.

I dream Los Angeles will maintain order.

I dream everyone would make the right choices.

I dream everyone would stay alive as long as they can

without cancer, pneumonia, and other kinds of diseases.

I dream everyone in Los Angeles would live in a house

not on the street.

I dream a world where no one will be killed by murder.

I dream that I will become a game designer.

These are my dreams…

Dream World

I dream of a world that has

all our flags UNITED

so that war can come to an end.

So that gangbangers will stop.

So we can be leaders

Have million dollar homes

Good homes.

So my family and I can have good lives.

That is my perfect little dream world.

Go In, Can’t Come Out

I dream no guns, I dream no blood

Why did the hurricane come with a big flood?

I dream no gangs not to say cuz

That’s why when someone dies all you hear

is a buzz

and you’re thinking in your head

why did he say cuz?

I dream no death with no gun,

That’s how some people lost their son

They get caught up in the mix

When their son is barely turning six

They throw their life away going into gangs…

When you can get a good education

And be in a better situation.
