Dreams are in nature,

Sending breezes in a whirlwind

Of thoughts and feelings

Like shooting stars above,

Making us feel good inside.

Dreams send sunny rays

On our faces warm and bright

Helping us feel and succeed

At everything we try and do.

And the moon, up high

Its inviting, crescent shape

Tells us to believe

In ourselves and dreams.

In my dream, black’s a treasure

worn like one

treated like one

In my dream every person is a gift

inside and out

In my dream we replace hatred with love

we love

In my dream I’m a diamond

a natural jewel

In my dream you are an emerald

gleaming in the sun

In my dream we live, to the fullest

love, to the fullest

In my dream no family or man will fear a gun

‘cause they’ll be

no guns

In my dream women and men will live a life of

Joy

Love

Happiness

In my dream we will cling on to the thread of hope, of dreams and live

A life to remember.

Dare to Dream

My Mural of Dreams

Paint me a mural of dreams

With betrayal and hatred passed by

Paint me a mural of dreams

Where everyone is treated the same

Paint me a mural of dreams

When you fall, you don’t give up you

 keep going

Paint me a mural of dreams

With no more fighting or violence

Grab your brushes,

 Let’s paint this mural together

Field of Dreams

Will you come with me to the field of dreams

To run in the grass, to leap to the sky?

My energy is bursting at its seams,

Hold my hand, and together we can fly.

From the dull and monotony of the day

You will definitely know release.

Because here, the skies are never gray

So your dreams and spirit may increase.

Hear the trickling of the calm brook waters

That flow peacefully by the flowers.

Gather, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters

As one, we can raise the bar, augment our powers.

Come, let me take you to the field of dreams.

To lie in the sun as the clouds go by.

My energy is bursting at its seams,

Hold my hand, and together we can fly.

                My Strong Dreams

My dreams

My dreams are strong

My dreams can no be cut in two

by the sharpest knife

My dreams can not be swallowed

by the mightiest wave

My dreams can not be singed

by a raging fire

My dreams can not be shadowed

by the darkest cloud

My dreams can not be dampened

by the heaviest rain

My dreams can not be crushed

by the toughest stones

Because in my dreams, there is hope for us all

In my dreams, we all have a friend

In my dreams, the fun never ends

In my dreams, everything feels so right

In my dreams, there is a dream for us all

All these dreams create one strong

and peaceful dream,

Making my dreams strong,

As well as life long

Reflection in the Water

“Away from the too rough fingers of the world”,

Lies the reflection of my dream in the water,

Where there is still harmony and peace,

In my dream you have all the time you need

To finish what you started,

And you do not have to release what lies dear to your heart,

But hold on until you are ready to let go,

And every day is a new day, but only if you let it be,

This is my view from the top,

When I experience my first step into life,

Into,

Reality

“When I get to be a composer

I’m gonna write me some music about”

Life.

Life should be happy

Not sad

There should be no comparing of people

Who cares if you’re ugly or short

No one should care if you’re purple or blue

You shouldn’t care if you’re not as popular

You shouldn’t care if you’re not as smart

It’s what’s inside that matters

My dreams, My dreams,

Wanting to escape,

Unrestrained and wild.

But my dreams are held tight,

Binded, trying to break free,

By the chains of unfairness and cruelty.

My soul tries to break away,

But I can’t seem to find,

The key to these merciless chains,

This key, hidden in darkness,

Impenetrable and deep,

The darkness that blinds me.

But I can’t let that darkness,

Extinguish my flame,

My dreams light,

I can’t let this darkness silence my dreams.

I have to hang on to my dreams,

Find the key,

Break these chains,

And let my dreams and soul run free,

Away from my bindings,

And be free,

Free,

At last

My Perfect World of Dreams

In my dream

The world is perfect,

In my dream

There is no hunger,

In my dream

There is no violence,

In my dream

No one ever dies,

In my dream

Everyone grows, but looks young,

In my dream

There is nothing to fear,

In my dream

Everyone lives their dream,

In my dream

The world is perfect

--Helen S.

“When I get to be a composer”,

“I’m gonna write me some music

about”,

A world with no boundaries,

Where dreams can reach the sky,

And once mute voices will be heard,

Where everyone can love each other,

Be friends with each other,

Where people will remember the old,

And embrace the new,

And treasure family and love,

Like silver and gold,

Where souls and thoughts and minds and dreams,

Will not be shut out by the gates of unfairness,

Where everyone has an opinion,

“When I get to be a composer”,

“I’m gonna write me some music about”,

A world with no boundaries.

You are gone, you are not here,

You’re rising slowly, slowly, in the air

All these bad things around you,

Are all gone,

You go live your dreams,

Without this war, these drugs, these things

All gone

You’re floating by them, your body twists and

    turns,

You don’t know what’s happened,

Thoughts run through your head,

And then your dreams escape your grasp,

You go frantic,

You lost them,

You lost them,

But they are only pulling you up with them,

Then you disappear,

Out of my sight,

 Into thin air,

And I know you are gone,

Fulfilling your dreams

My Picture

When I get to be an artist

I’m going to paint a picture about

Dreams

Wishes

Desires

There is going to be no painful deaths

And people willing to sacrifice

And people filled with generous thoughts

There is going to be love in it

And no war

And no racism

There is going to be your dreams in it

And my dreams

And everyone’s dreams

And peace

In my dream there will be no strife,

In my dream the world is filled with life.

In my dream there will be no disease,

In my dream there will be not even a sneeze.

In my dream there will be no war,

In my dream fighting is no more.

In my Dream

In my dream there’s no more war, no more hurt.

In my dream no one feels the need to be “beautiful”.

In my dream everyone has a place, everyone belongs.

In my dream there’s only love.

In my dream there are no drugs to hurt us.

In my dream no one is ill.

In my dream no child is left alone.

In my dream everyone gets along, all colors together.

In my dream there is no hunger, there is food for all to share.

In my dream the sun shines and the moon is bright with love.

In my dream everyone has a beautiful future.

In my dream we stand together, caring, loving, holding,

helping.
